Tourist Visa

A Tourist Visa is issued to applicants who wish to enter Thailand for the purpose of tourism.

Documents Required: (For Application submitted in The Royal Thai Embassy, New Delhi.)

The applicants must submit the following relevant documents, depending on the purpose of their visit:

  • Passport or travel document with validity not less than 6 months with one blank page.
  • Visa Application Form completely filled out.
  • Two recent photographs of the applicant (3.5 x 4.5 cm)
  • Evidence of Transportation (Any of below)
    • Confirmed air ticket.
    • Vessel
    • Itinerary
  • Evidence of adequate finance (Any of below)
    • Endorsement of $500 per person or $1000 per family.
    • Bank Statement for last three month with minimum balance of Rs. 20,000/-
    • Credit Card issued by a bank or financial institution
  • Proof of hotel/accommodation reservation in Thailand


In case of group of travelers guaranteed by private travel agent or sponsored by public/private corporate. However, the agent/corporate must issue a guarantee/sponsor letter which is signed by authorized person and attached with the list of group members citing details (name and passport details of each individual, confirmed return flight information and hotel reservation of the group.

  1. Two recent (not older than 3 months) color photographs taken against a white (clothes color should be different from background) so that your features are clearly distinguishable.

    A person who always wears white for religious purpose, the photographs can be taken against a light blue background.

    The Royal Thai Embassy / Royal Thai Consulate General have full right to ask applicant to change the photo due to the followings
    • Photo which applicant’s face and eyes are not in direct position to the camera:
    • Photo with background color different from the above mentioned.
    • Photo which is obviously cut or crop from other photo.
  2. The photographs should be clear and of good quality, and should be printed on normal photographic paper. Please note that we will be unable to accept photographs that do not meet these specifications.
    • Photo which the border between applicant’s body and background is unclear no mater what reason (scanning, printer, etc.
    • Photo which is printed by printer which generates dots or lines on the paper and make photo bad quality.
  3. Your full face should be visible. The photograph should be taken without sunglasses and without a hat or any other head covering, unless you wear such an item because of your religious beliefs or ethnic background.

Q.1 Do I require a Visa to Visit?
Ans.Passport holders from the following countries do not require a visa when entering Thailand for tourism purposes if their stay in Thailand does not exceed 30/90 days, as the case may be. The applicant must, however, possess sufficient instrument of means of living expenses (10,000 Baht per person or 20,000 Baht per family).

TOURIST VISA EXEMPTION

 

  • According to the Interior Ministerial Announcements dated 1 October B.E. 2545 (2002), 20 December B.E. 2545 (2002) ,18 October B.E. 2547 (2004) and 6 May B.E. 2548 (2005) , passport holders from 41 countries and Hong Kong SAR do not require a visa when entering Thailand for tourism purposes if their stay in the Kingdom does not exceed 30 days.

  • The applicant must possess instrument of means of living expenses 10,000 Baht per person and 20,000 Baht per family accordingly.

Q.4 Can I get Visa on Arrival?
Ans TEMPORARY TOURIST VISA: VISA ON ARRIVAL

 

  • According to the Interior Ministerial Announcements, passport holders from 20 countries may apply for visas at the immigration checkpoints for the purpose of tourism for the period of not exceeding 15 days.
  •  

  • The applicant must possess means of living expenses 10,000 Baht per person and 20,000 Baht per family accordingly.
  •  

  • The applicant must produce full paid ticket which is usable within 15 days since the date of entry.
  •  

  • Visa on arrival is provided at 23 designated international checkpoints and applicants should produce the application form to which his/her recent photograph (2 ½ inches) is attached. The application fee is 1,000 Baht.
  •  

  • Visitors who enter the Kingdom with Visa on Arrival generally cannot file an application for extension of stay except in special cases such as illness which prevents them from traveling, etc. They can submit an application at the Office of Immigration Bureau, Immigration Division 1, Soi Suan Plu, South Sathorn Road, Bangkok 10120. MALAYSIA VISA
Type of Visa

Visas can be categorized in two broad categories namely:


  • Visa without reference
  • Visa with reference

  • Visa without reference is visa approved by the Consulate General of Malaysia for social, tourist or business visits.

    Visa with reference is approved by the Department of Immigration Malaysia or the Ministry of Home Affairs for the purpose of working, studying or social visits for a stay more than the allowed period under visa without reference.

    Required documents for all visa categories

    Please note that the following essentials must be met by all applicants submitting their applications for visa.

    Minimum Nine (9) months valid passport from the date of applying for Malaysian Visa is mandatory.

    Passports having validity of more than 10 years from date of issue may also be submitted.

    Applicants willing to travel to Malaysia need to apply for their visa one month prior to travel date and not before that.

    Please note that The Consulate General of Malaysia, Mumbai(for Ahmedabad), The Consulate General of Malaysia, Chennai (for Hyderabad and Bangalore), The High Commission of Malaysia, Delhi (for Kolkata and Chandigarh) do not accept additional pages inserted into passports. If you do not have a blank page to which a visa can be affixed, a new passport must be obtained before submitting your application

    Without reference (VTR)
    If you wish to visit Malaysia for a short period of time, you must obtain a visa prior to entry if you come from a country with a visa requirement for entering Malaysia.

    The Consulate General of Malaysian in Mumbai is pleased to introduce a new facility to meet the ever-increasing demand for Malaysia visa among Indians. It is our constant effort to provide greater comfort and convenience to our applicants.

    Applicants residing in the States of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat & Goa wishing to apply for the Malaysia visa are advised to submit their applications at the Malaysia Visa Application Centre at 5th Floor, Aurum House, Plot No. 25, Dadyseth Lane, Next to Babulnath Temple, Mumbai 400 007, Monday to Friday from 08:00 hrs to 15:00 hrs except holidays.

    Photo Specifications

  • The photograph must be in color.
  • It should be without border.
  • It should have a white background only.
  • It should have a close up of your head and top of your shoulders so that your face takes up 70-80% of the photograph.
  • It should be in sharp focus and clean.
  • It should be of high quality with no ink marks and creases.
  • The photograph must show you looking directly at the camera.
  • It should be 3.5 cm X 4.5 cm.
  • It should show your skin tone naturally.
  • It should have appropriate brightness and contrast.
  • The photograph should be a recent one not more than 3 months old.
  • It is to be taken without headgear.
  • Photograph can be taken with headgear, after consideration on case to case basis if the applicant wears headgear on religious grounds. The main characteristics of the face must be apparent from the photograph. Chin, nose, eyes and eyebrows must not be covered, the forehead should be uncovered to the extent that the shape of the face is apparent.
  • It should be without hat/cap.
  • It should be without the applicant's hair tucked behind his/her ears.
  • The photograph should not have any staple marks.
  • Scanned & color photocopies would NOT be accepted.

    Foreigners who serve as professionals or experts on a short-term basis in Malaysia must apply for Professional Visit Pass. The scopes for this pass are as follow:

  • All the application for VDR has to be made by the sponsor / company / Institution in Malaysia (to the Immigration Department of Malaysia). And, the person may apply for VDR stamping at Malaysian embassy / mission abroad and enter the country after the approval of that pass.

     

    SINGAPORE VISA

     

    Eligibility
    Foreigners holding ordinary passports issued by the following Assessment Level I Countries will require a visa to enter Singapore:

    * Holders of Diplomatic, Official and Service passports are exempted from visa requirements.
    † Holders of Diplomatic, Official and Service passports are exempted from visa  requirements for a stay of up to 30 days.
    ~ Holders of Diplomatic, Official and Service passports are exempted from visa requirements for a stay of up to 90 days.

    Procedure
    For application in Singapore
    Submit your visa application online via Submission of Application for Visa Electronically (SAVE) through a local contact with a SingPass account.

    For Application at our Overseas Mission
    Submit your visa application at the nearest Singapore Overseas Mission. The full list of Overseas Missions can be found at http://www.mfa.gov.sg/dipcon/singapore_mission_websites.html. Please visit the respective Mission's website for the visa application procedure.

    Documents Required

     

    For Business Visit (attending business negotiation/discussion)

    • Completed Form 14A (original) .
    • One recent passport-sized colour photograph (to be pasted on the top right-hand corner of (Form 14A) which meets the following requirements:  

                          Image must be taken within the last 3 months .
                        *   Photograph should be in colour, must be taken against a white  
                            background with a matt or semi-matt finish .

                        *   Image must show the full face and without headgear (headgear worn in 
                            accordance with religious or racial customs is acceptable but must not hide 
                            the facial features) .

    • Photocopy of the applicant's passport biodata page. Please ensure that the passport is valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry .
    • Completed Form V39A (Letter of Introduction for Visa Application)¹ .
    • Computer printout of the Singapore registered business entity’s detailed business profile (showing the names of all the directors / shareholders) from the Instant Information Service, Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) and printed within the last 3 months .

    ¹ Letter of Introduction (LOI) may be issued by a local contact in Singapore. For visa applicants attending business negotiation / discussion in Singapore, the local contact must be a Singapore registered business entity . The person acting on behalf of the business entity must be a Singapore Citizen / Singapore Permanent Resident who is at least 21 years old . If you are not able to furnish a LOI from a local contact, you may approach your Embassy to issue a LOI to support your visa application.

    For Social Visit (visiting friends, relatives and for tourism)

    • Completed Form 14A (original) .
    • One recent passport-sized colour photograph (to be pasted on the top right-hand corner of (Form 14A) which meets the following requirements:

                         Image must be taken within the last 3 months .
                        *   Photograph should be in colour, must be taken against a white  
                            background with a matt or semi-matt finish .

    • Local contact's Singapore Identity Card ( original and photocopy )  .

    ² Letter of Introduction (LOI) may be issued by a local contact in Singapore. Any Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident who is at least 21 years old can act as a local contact. If you are not able to furnish a LOI from a local contact, you may approach your Embassy to issue a LOI to support your visa application. 

    Other Requirements

    • The applicant and the local contact may be required to furnish additional documents and information whenever necessary. 
    • Official translations of the documents are required if they are not in the English language.

    Processing Fee


    S$30 Processing Fee

    A processing fee of S$30 per visa application will be collected at the time of submission. The fee collected is non-refundable regardless of the outcome of the application or if you withdraw the application after submission.

    Security Deposit
    Where applicable, a security deposit may be required from the local contact or the visa applicant upon approval of the application. ICA will advise whether the security deposit should be in the form of a Banker’s Guarantee, Cashier’s Order or NETS. Insurance guarantees are not accepted. The amount of security deposit is S$1,000.

    Refund of Security Deposit

    The security deposit will be refunded to the local contact or the visa applicant if:

    • the applicant has not breached any of the conditions stated in the security bond executed  by the local contact (or the visa applicant) and  his/her departure from Singapore is confirmed by Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA)  .
    • A completed Direct Credit Authorisation Form is required for refunding purpose.

    The processing time for refund is about 4 weeks. To avoid any delay, visa applicant is advised to surrender the visa card to the Immigration Officer at the checkpoint upon his/her final departure. Any unused visa(s) should also be returned to ICA as soon as possible to facilitate the refund.

    Processing Time
    The processing time is 1 working day (excluding the day of submission) if your application is submitted online via Submission of Application for Visa Electronically (SAVE).


    Collection of Visa
    If the application is approved, the local contact can print the visa electronically (e-Visa) via Submission of Application for Visa Electronically (SAVE). The validity of the e-Visa shall start from the date of approval . There is no need to submit any documents to ICA unless instructed otherwise.

     

    Important Notes

    • Original supporting documents will be returned immediately after verification at the submission counter .
    • Incomplete forms and/or documents submitted may result in the application being rejected or delayed.
    • Every application for a visa will be considered on its own merits.
    • Possession of a visa does not guarantee entry into Singapore. Visitors must also meet entry requirements such as holding a valid passport, sufficient funds for the period of stay in Singapore and confirmed onward/return air ticket.
    • ICA may share your personal information with other Government agencies to process any applications you have made or to render you a service, so as to serve you in a most efficient and effective way, unless such sharing is prohibited by legislation.


     

    Hongkong Visa

     

    Requirements for Indian Nationals to apply for Hong kong Visa
    HONGKONG VISA ( SHORT STAY )

    FOR A STAY OF LESS THAN FOURTEEN DAYS IN HONGKONG , VISA IS GRANTED ON ARRIVAL AT HONGKONG AIRPORT
    FOR INDIAN PASSPORT HOLDERS .

    REQUIREMENTS :

    BUSINESS VISA
    1 . Original Passport , having minimum Six months validity and at least two blank pages .
    2 . Original Confirmed Return Air Ticket showing exit from Hongkong , within fourteen days .
    3 . Original Invitation letter from the Hongkong Company , on their Company Letterhead , specifying Invitation for a stay of less than Fourteen days .
    4 . Foreign Exchange duly endorsed on the passport or must hold valid International Credit Card .

     

    TOURIST VISA
    1 . Original Passport , having minimum Six months validity and at least two blank pages .
    2 . Original Confirmed Return Air Ticket showing exit from Hongkong , within fourteen days .
    3 . Foreign Exchange duly endorsed on the passport or must hold valid International Credit Card .

     

    HONG KONG VISA (LONG STAY)

    THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS ARE REQUIRED TO APPLY FOR THE
    HONG KONG VISA FOR A STAY WHICH EXCEEDS FOURTEEN DAYS :

     

    1 . One Copy of the passport .  Passport validity should exceed Six Months from the date of application .
    2 . One passport size colour photograph .
    3 . Hong Kong Visa Form to be filled .
    4 . Original Typed Covering Letter from the applicant , stating the duration of the stay in Hong Kong .
    5 . Original Invitation Letter from Hong Kong , stating the exact duration of the applicant's stay in Hong Kong .
    6 . Communication Fee Rs . 1200 / = to be paid in Cash at the time of submission .

     

    PROCESSING TIME : FOUR TO SIX WEEKS .
    ( ONE TO ONE AND HALF MONTHS .)
    AFTER RECEIVING APPROVAL FROM HONG KONG IMMIGRATION , THE APPLICANT WILL BE CONTACTED , FOLLOWING WHICH THE APPLICANT

     

    MUST COME TO THE VISA SECTION WITH THE ORIGINAL PASSPORT ON THE FOLLOWING DAYS :

    UAE Visa

     

    Before you travel to the UAE, please check your visa requirements and make sure you have a valid visa if needed. Holders of non-standard passports and travel documents may also have different entry requirements: please check your visa and passport requirements here.

     

    Citizens of the GCC nations of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia do not require a visa to travel to the UAE.

     

    Visas on arrival

     

    If your country of nationality appears on the list below, no advance visa arrangements are required to visit the UAE. Simply disembark your flight at Dubai International Airport and proceed to Immigration, where your passport will be stamped with a 30-day visit visa free of charge. This can be extended for an additional 30 days at an additional charge.

    Apply and pay for your UAE visa online

     

    Nationals of countries requiring a prearranged UAE visa can now apply and pay for their visas online through emirates.com.

     

    If you are travelling to or stopping over in Dubai with Emirates, you can submit an application and receive your UAE visa entirely online – without having to submit your passport for stamping.

    The online visa application service is available for residents of many countries around the world: find a list of eligible countries here.Applicants' passports must have at least six months' validity as of their date of travel to Dubai.

     

    This service is only available to passengers with a confirmed Emirates booking where an Emirates eticket has already been issued and the flight itinerary already includes the desired time in Dubai. Note that any itineraries including any flights to or from Dubai on other carriers are not eligible for the online visa service.

     

    A minimum of four international working days prior to arrival in Dubai is required, however Emirates does recommend that online applications are made as early as possible. Visas issued through this service are available for a period of stay in Dubai of 96 hours or 30 days.

     

    Other ways to apply

     

    If you have a family member or near relative who is a UAE resident, they can apply for a visa on your behalf. Please note that this service is only available to residents of the UAE: for more information please see details on the UAE site here.

    Dubai Immigration Procedures

     

    As an added security measure, Immigration Authorities at Dubai International Airport are now conducting random eye screening for visitors to Dubai.

     

    Visitors asked to proceed for eye screening are required to present a hard copy of their visa or a printed version of the visa number confirmation page at the screening counter. If you do not have a copy with you, a charge of AED 30 per copy applies - payable only in AED.
